Saudi Health Office
The Saudi Health Office is part of The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia and provides health and medical advice to Saudi Arabian subjects based in the UK and Ireland. The office also handles the affairs of Saudi Arabian nationals travelling to London for medical treatment.
The Requirement
The Saudi Health Office had a traditional BT Nortel Meridian system that could no longer support their business requirements and was becoming increasingly expensive to maintain. At the same time, the office was very paper based with most employees not having their own PC and the Internet was only available to a few employees. Having the old phone system and not having fully embraced the business benefits of PCs and the Internet was affecting employee efficiency and service levels offered to stakeholders.
It was therefore recognised that the PBX had to be replaced and they required a network that allowed them to effectively share information, improve efficiency and centralise their communications.
The Solution
Unifi Communications have provided the Saudi Health Office with a network infrastructure that supports all of their business needs: data, voice and wireless. All employees have been supplied with PCs with Internet access and networked printers and scanners. All employees can now share customer information so the levels of service offered has greatly increased.
The Meridian PBX has been replaced by a Cisco Telephony System residing on a Cisco 2800 Integrated Services Router. In addition, the router provides termination of their Internet connection, Firewall protection and secure remote VPN connectivity.
The new solution has also provided massive savings on their telephone call charges with the use of SIP Trunk technology. The monthly telephone bill is over 40% less than their previous BT bills, which will result in a very quick return on investment.
Unifi’s solution has given Saudi Health a single system for all their business needs which provides full data and telephone services to each desk. They now have a truly integrated voice and data solution that supports both business expansion and additional application enhancements as required.
All files are held safe and securely on a Cisco Small Business Network Storage Systems, which gives Saudi Health a centralised location for storing and sharing all critical information.
On-going, Unifi are seen as a crucial partner and are seen as providing the role of IT department and provide full management of the network infrastructure from their office in Twickenham.
